Where did she go?

How embarssing! To think I started this blog on May 20th and am finally posting something again in July!
Why is that?
In June I indulged in a biology class, no small feat either. Instead of the normal semester of four months I decided to complete the course in five weeks! To the press I would release this statement only—“It was a whirl wind of which I know what I know, and know what I don’t.”
July has been one great Barrel Depot event after another! If you haven’t installed at least one barrel I can only ask WHY NOT?!

On the Fourth of July we had the awesome opportunity as Blue Thumb partners to welcome Alexandria Cousteau and National Geographic to Powderhorn Park in Minneapolis for a Rain Garden Tour with Metro Blooms. What an amazing day! We Minnesotan’s take our bodies of water seriously and have been noticed. Featured above are some pictures and links below from the event:

A Greener Celebration in Powderhorn Park
We have also been traveling the US dropping barrels to customers at various Farmer’s Markets and in association with fundraisers.
In the water works:
Come see us at the Great Minnesota Get Together, the State Fair August 26 to September 6, 2010.
Save a raindrop!

Introducing me! Beth, the Barrel Girl Intern
What exactly does this mean, Beth the Barrel Girl Intern? Well, over the next few months I am going to do my best to figure that out and I am hoping followers of this blog will help.
What I am going to try to do is promote water conservation systems by establishing rain barrel programs and sales throughout the country with individuals, municipalities, companies, fundraisers, and the general public. I am also developing various communication messages using different mediums, like this blog, twitter, facebook, linked in, YouTube, and mini-documentaries. (A cult following is essential!) I am going to promote education on water conservation to various public and demographic groups.
Please join me?
